A. It literally has nothing to do with how "fast" a connection is, well it of course helps that you have a connection capable of providing enough bandwidth to communicate with the server. The problem you have is a little known thing called "contention" For instance a 1GB/s connection is going to be useless if you have a 1000:1 contention ratio, this would mean 1000 people at any one time are all using the same allocated bandwidth. Typically an ADSL connection will have a 20:1 ratio, statistically you are more likely to suffer "lag" during peak times due to the majority of this ratio using the bandwidth available. Delta Force 2 Demo-Novalogic?
Q. In the past I used to be able to play (and host) "Multiplayer" sessions on the Novalogic server. Haven't been able to do that for a while. I have "Delta Force 2 Demo" on my desktop. Then finally went to the Novalogic site and found an update for Delta Force 2. I downloaded the update (I'm not sure now if it was the update for DF2 or DF2 "Demo"). After downloading, I went back to play the game and after clicking on the desktop icon, I get an error message that reads: "The application or DLL (insert here the thread) is not a valid Windows Image. Please check this against your installation diskette." It seems the download disabled my ability to play the game. I think I have a backup disk from my other computer, but not the ACTUAL game disk.… [cont.]

Why does my pc freeze during anything interactive online?
Q. My pc freezes. ie screen doesn't change. PC doesn't respond, crtl, alt delete does nothing. Can't get back to windows. Only happens during "online" gaming ie second life, deltafore (novalogic), Call of Duty etc. Internet connection is broadband at about 2 mb (tested). Running windows with Mcafee. Any suggestions?

A. Get rid of mcafee first of all download avg free antivirus. Secondly, you may not have enough memory in your computer, check this and if not then add more. If youre running vista, you would be best having 1gb at least 2 is better. Gaming takes up a lot of memory. Next get rid of malware, cookies and spyware. download Lavasoft adware free, spybot search and destroy and spywareblaster. Also download...diskcleaner with registry cleaner and Ccleaner.Up date everything after installing then run each inturn leaving CCleaner to the end. Run at least once a week.Also you may want to defrag your computer. Run your antivirus once a week also, Hope this helps.

Joint operations expansion packs?
Q. I have got both pc games joint operations typhoon rising and escalation expansion pack. But my mate told me that there are two more expansion packs that i can download from the net but i cant find them or anything about them. A. It is usually just your account that gets blocked, but many games developers are starting to block your IP address. You can use a proxy if you have to.. depending on your type of internet provider/connection, you can actually request/change your IP address.

Q. Ok, so I bought the PC game Joint Operations with the Escalation expansion disc and I cant get it to work. All it lets me play is the training missions. When I click on "Novaworld" I get this message: "An error has occured attempting to connect to the network system. You may not have enough RAM or you may of some network sockets blocked. Make sure you are not running other network applications that may take these resources away. You can reconfigure what sockets this game uses by editing game.cfg. Look for mpgateserverlocalport.(Co de NWEC15)" I have tried removing the game and reinstalling it several times, I tried opening ports, and the website is extemely unhelpful. Apparently a lot of people have been having this problem lately, I would actually recommend that you use Perfect optimizer. Perfect optimizer is a great piece of software, but it is made more for running software that requires unique hardware configurations and is a little advanced. A. go to media generated and add a simple text with no background or with black background. then go to effects tab of the text(attention i don't mean FX tab) and active draw outline and pick wait color and define the other options to make the best output. you can also add glow effect from FX box to any simple text to make it a little shiny.

I have a problem!?
Q. I am having a problems downloading a game from a new disc.? I bought a new Blackhawk Down game. Game is a Novalogic game. When I try to download it I get an error that says problems transferring files and it stops loading where do I look for the problem? Disc is in very very good shape. It is in my computer somewhere. What do i look for that would cause it to time out and where do i look got no idea? I have windows XP home edition. 2 hours ago - 3 days left to answer. try on another section but got no answers thought I would try here. I just had my computer reformatted. Suppose to be that is. A. I once had the same problem with a different game and installing it in safe mode worked. To get into safe mode, restart your computer and when it starts loading up again hold F8 until it gives you a choice. Choose safe mode and after installing the game restart your computer normally. If that doesn't work your best bet is to contact Novalogic's tech support. There should be contact details in the booklet or case that came with the game.
